Community Care

The Community Care ministry at Bethel Christian Church is intended to provide assistance and resources to individuals or families facing difficult issues in life. We are committed to providing care, whether physical or emotional, not only within the community of those who consider Bethel their church but also to anyone who encounters circumstances in life where a helping hand and compassionate heart is welcome. If you, or someone you know, is in need of any of the following resources please contact us.

Marja Osgood, Pastor of Community Care, coordinates these ministries.

Pastoral Counseling Ministry

We provide guidance, support and encouragement for a variety of life issues and circumstances:

• for individuals, couples and families
• for pre-marital counseling
• for grief counseling

Assistance/Resource Ministry

We offer assistance and resources in several ways for those facing a crisis situation who need a helping hand:

• short term financial assistance through the Dorcas Fund
• budget coaching, resume writing etc.
• meals for those released from a hospital, with a new baby, or moving houses
• help for local moves

Support/Recovery Ministry

We offer groups for men and women who desire to heal and grow out of painful addictions, hurts and habits:

We are here to help you celebrate your special life events, or walk you through difficult losses. For:

Prayer Ministry

We offer a prayer chain of people who will lift up your prayer needs daily and weekly. You can send in your requests (even anonymous ones) to prayer|Bethel Website - subject

You can come and join our weekly and monthly prayer meetings held on Saturday mornings at 8 am, and the first Sunday of each month at 6 pm at church, connecting in prayer with many sisters and brothers in the Lord.

You can also contact the office if you would like one of the pastors and/or elders to come to your home or a hospital for prayer.

Community Care Bulletin Board

The bulletin board is located in the lower level, outside the elevator entrance. The purpose of the board is to provide an opportunity for Bethel attendees to post requests for things that are needed and/or for things or services that you have available (i.e. rental opportunities, jobs, services, furniture, etc.) If you have something you would like to post, please contact Judy Vawter (admin|Bethel Website - subject) or at the church office.
