The Wednesday night Bible Study, CONFIDENT LIVING, started up again on February 4th at 7:30 p.m.

We are reading and studying the book of James - that little, five-chapter book near the end of the Bible - written by Jesus’ half brother. James tells Christians, in direct, clear language, how they should be living; no looking at both sides of the issue and making suggestions, just clear-cut assertions: “Faith without work is useless!” “Be joyful when you face trials!” “Friendship with the world is hatred toward God!” “Be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry!”

In his inimitable (some would say “blunt”) way, James allows you to test your CQ (Christian Quotient) to analyze where you stand in your relationship with God and others.

The sessions are interesting, instructive, and enjoyable. If you are currently not a member of the CONFIDENT LIVING Bible Study, please seriously consider whether this may be the time to get involved with a structured Bible study and to get better acquainted with others here at Bethel.

The spring session began February 4th and ends May 6th with two one-week breaks (President’s week and Easter week). Even though we are mid-study right now, feel free to jump in at any time! You are most welcome.
